Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek

• Yurt Seasonality: Authentic yurt stays at Son Kul Lake are strictly seasonal and available only from 10 June to 20 September.
• High Altitude Awareness: You will reach altitudes over 3,000 meters (Son Kul and Kalmak Ashu Pass). Stay hydrated and be prepared for thinner mountain air.
• Shared Facilities: Yurt stays at Son Kul and guesthouses provide an authentic experience; however, yurts typically involve sharing (4 pax per yurt) with basic communal facilities.
• Packing Requirements: Mountain weather is unpredictable. Bring layered clothing, a windproof jacket, and sturdy hiking shoes for uneven terrain.
