Arrival – Ulaanbaatar
• Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, where your guide warmly welcomes you at the airport. Transfer to your hotel and prepare emotionally for an extraordinary Mongolia desert adventure.
Day 1 – Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa) & Nomadic Family Stay
• After breakfast, journey south toward the breathtaking Tsagaan Suvarga.
• This dramatic 400-meter escarpment, formed over 10 million years ago beneath an ancient sea, reveals layers of white, yellow, and purple rock that glow beautifully under sunlight. Stop along the way for scenic photography across endless steppe landscapes.
• After exploring the cliffs, continue to a nomadic family’s camp. Experience heartfelt Mongolian hospitality, learn about daily herding life, and enjoy a traditional dinner.
• Overnight in an extra yurt (ger) with a local family — a truly authentic Mongolia nomadic experience.
Day 2 – Yol Valley & Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park
• Drive toward Dalanzadgad and visit the local museum before entering Yolyn Am, also known as Yol Valley.
• This dramatic gorge narrows into towering rock walls where ice can remain visible even in summer. Enjoy a scenic hike through the valley while spotting wild mountain sheep and ibex along the cliffs.
• Lunch in town before exploring the valley. Dinner with your host family.
• Overnight in nomadic family yurt.
Day 3 – Khongor Sand Dunes (Singing Dunes) & Camel Riding
• Travel to the spectacular Khongoryn Els, one of the largest sand dune systems in Mongolia.
• Rising up to 300 meters high and stretching over 100 km, the dunes “sing” when wind moves the sand.
• Climb to the summit for an awe-inspiring sunset view over the Gobi. Feel the wind, silence, and immensity around you. Enjoy camel riding across the golden sands — a highlight of any Gobi Desert tour.
• Dinner and overnight in nomadic family yurt.
Day 4 – Flaming Cliffs & Ongi Monastery
• Visit the world-famous Bayanzag, known as the Flaming Cliffs.
• This iconic paleontological site gained global fame when Roy Chapman Andrews discovered the first dinosaur eggs here in 1922. Walk among red sandstone formations glowing in brilliant orange hues at sunset — a magical and emotional moment in Mongolia’s prehistoric landscape.
• Continue to the ruins of Ongi Monastery, once one of the largest monasteries in the Gobi region. Reflect on the spiritual silence surrounding the river valley.
• Dinner and overnight near Ongi.
Day 5 – Kharkhorin Ancient Capital (400 km)
• Drive north to historic Kharkhorin, once the capital of the Mongol Empire.
• Erdene Zuu Monastery, Mongolia’s oldest Buddhist monastery
• Kharkhorum Museum
• Walk among the legendary stone turtles — symbols of endurance and unity — and imagine the power once held here during the 13th century.
• Dinner and overnight at tourist camp.
Day 6 – Khustai National Park & Return to Ulaanbaatar
• Travel to Khustain Nuruu National Park, home of the rare Przewalski’s wild horse (Takhi).
• Enjoy wildlife spotting across the steppe and a short hike through Mongolia’s protected forest-steppe ecosystem. Visit the small museum to understand conservation efforts.
• Lunch at the park before returning to Ulaanbaatar.
• Transfer to hotel or airport for departure.
