Two days of Kazakhstan wilderness highlights — hike the dramatic red rock formations of Charyn Canyon, stay in a rustic Satty guest house, and wander emerald Kolsai and submerged Kaindy lakes for unforgettable alpine scenery, wildlife spotting and photography opportunities.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1
• Early pickup from Almaty and scenic drive to Charyn Canyon (3–4 hours)
• Guided exploration of Charyn Canyon: Valley of Castles, Moon Canyon and Black Canyon with photo stops and short hikes
• Transfer to Satty Village, check in to guest house, dinner and overnight

Day 2
• Morning visit to Kolsai Lake for lakeside walk and alpine forest views
• Continue to Kaindy Lake to view the submerged forest and turquoise waters; optional horse riding available
• Afternoon return transfer to Almaty

Take Note

• Early starts and long drives; expect full days in remote areas.
• Moderate hiking on uneven terrain; wear sturdy shoes and layered clothing.
• Shuttle at Charyn and horse riding are optional and payable locally (shuttle ≈ $5 round trip).
• Guest house accommodation in Satty included (basic facilities; meals as specified).
• Bring sunscreen, hat, insect repellent, and cash for extras and souvenirs.
• Respect protected areas and do not touch rock formations or petroglyphs.
