Tour Synopsis

Explore North Sulawesi on this 6-day Manado tour combining Tangkoko wildlife spotting (tarsiers, black crested macaques), Minahasa highlands culture, Mt. Mahawu crater views, and Bunaken Island snorkeling in Bunaken Marine Park. Perfect for wildlife tours, snorkeling trips, cultural travel, and volcano day trips from Manado.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Tunan Waterfall / Tangkoko entry (Dinner) Arrive Manado, meet your guide and transfer to Tunan Waterfall in Talawan Village to enjoy waterfall trekking and rainforest scenery. Continue to Tangkoko area and take an evening forest walk for first tarsier spotting. Overnight at Tangkoko Sanctuary Villa.

Day 2: Full-day Tangkoko Wildlife Safari (B/L/D) Full-day Tangkoko Nature Reserve wildlife tour searching for endemic species: tarsiers, black crested macaques, cuscus, hornbills and endemic birds. Guided jungle hikes morning and afternoon, wildlife photography and birdwatching. Return to homestay for overnight.

Day 3: Waruga Sawangan & Minahasa Highlands Cultural Tour (B) Drive to Minahasa Highlands for Waruga Sawangan ancient tombs, scenic Tondano Lake lunch, Tomohon traditional market visit, Woloan wooden-house craft village, Kai’santi viewpoint (Mt. Lokon & rice terraces) and relaxing at Linow Lake. Check in to Tomohon resort.

Day 4: Mt. Mahawu Crater Trek & Transfer to Bunaken Island (B/D) Short crater rim hike at Mt. Mahawu for panoramic Tomohon–Manado views and volcanic crater features. Afternoon transfer by private boat to Bunaken Island and check in at Bunaken resort near Bunaken Marine Park.

Day 5 : Bunaken Island Snorkeling & Marine Park Exploration (B/L/D) Full day enjoying Bunaken Marine Park snorkeling or optional diving. Explore coral reefs, sea turtles, reef fish and protected marine biodiversity. Options for beach or boat snorkel trips; diving available with on-site booking.

Day 6 : Transfer Out (B) Breakfast, check-out, boat transfer back to Manado and airport transfer. End of tour.

• Our tour guide partner will contact you within 48 hours of booking (often earlier) to confirm details and pickup time.
• Arrival times: If arriving late afternoon, Tunan Waterfall may be skipped and Tangkoko visit adjusted.
• Bring swimwear, reef-safe sunscreen, hat, light hiking shoes, insect repellent, and a light rain jacket.
• Snorkeling gear rental and diving trips on Bunaken are optional and payable locally (snorkel approx. IDR 150,000; dive approx. IDR 850,000 per dive).
• Bring necessary travel documents, any required medications, and travel insurance.
• Allow extra time for domestic flights, airport taxes, and baggage allowances.
