Tour Itinerary

Day 1 – Surabaya/Malang – Tumpak Sewu Waterfall – Bromo Area
Your adventure begins early as you depart for the spectacular Tumpak Sewu Waterfall—often called the “Niagara of Indonesia.”
With a local guide, trek down lush trails to witness the dramatic curtain of cascading water surrounded by towering cliffs. Feel the refreshing mist on your skin and the powerful energy of nature around you. Capture breathtaking photos and embrace the emotional connection to one of Indonesia’s most iconic waterfalls.
After your waterfall exploration, continue your scenic drive to the cool highlands near Mount Bromo. Check in at your hotel and relax. Enjoy the peaceful countryside atmosphere and observe the daily life of the Tenggerese community before resting for your sunrise adventure.

Day 2 – Mount Bromo Sunrise – Sea of Sand – Transfer to Ijen
02:00 | Jeep Ride to Penanjakan Viewpoint
Board a 4WD Jeep and ascend rugged mountain roads to Mount Penanjakan, the most famous Bromo sunrise viewpoint.
Sunrise Over the Volcanoes
Watch the first golden light illuminate Mount Batok and the majestic Mount Semeru. The panoramic volcanic landscape creates a deeply moving and unforgettable moment.
Sea of Sand & Crater Exploration
Cross the mystical Sea of Sand and hike to the crater rim of Mount Bromo. Feel the earth’s raw energy beneath your feet. If your timing aligns, you may even witness the sacred Yadnya Kasada ceremony of the Tenggerese people.
Return to your hotel for breakfast before driving to Bondowoso or Banyuwangi with a lunch stop along the way. Check in at your hotel and prepare for your midnight Ijen experience.

Day 3 – Ijen Blue Fire – Return to Surabaya/Malang/Ketapang
23:30 | Transfer to Paltuding Basecamp
Late at night, travel to Paltuding, the starting point of your Ijen trek.
Night Trek to Ijen Crater
Begin a guided hike under the stars. Equipped with a gas mask and headlamp, descend carefully to witness the rare Blue Fire phenomenon—electric-blue flames glowing against the darkness, a natural wonder found in only a few places worldwide.
Turquoise Lake at Sunrise
As dawn breaks, admire the surreal turquoise sulfur lake—an iconic highlight of any East Java volcano tour.
After descending and enjoying breakfast, relax on your return journey to Surabaya, Malang, or Ketapang Port.

1. Temperatures at Bromo and Ijen can be very cold; bring a warm jacket and proper trekking shoes.
2. The Ijen and Tumpak Sewu treks require moderate physical fitness and involve uneven terrain.
3. Weather conditions in East Java are unpredictable—prepare for sudden changes.
