Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Boumalne Dades
• Depart Marrakech in the morning and cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the breathtaking Tizi n’Tichka Pass, offering panoramic mountain views and scenic photo stops.
• Visit the legendary Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for its earthen architecture and appearances in iconic films. Continue to Ouarzazate, known as the Gateway to the Sahara, before driving through the palm-lined Draa Valley, once a vital caravan route.
• Arrive in Boumalne Dades by evening and explore the dramatic Dades Gorge, celebrated for its striking rock formations and winding roads. Settle into your accommodation, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, and experience warm Berber hospitality overnight.
Day 2: Boumalne Dades – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert – Erg Chebbi
• After breakfast, journey toward the Sahara, stopping at the spectacular Todra Gorge, where towering limestone cliffs create one of Morocco’s most awe-inspiring natural wonders.
• Continue along scenic desert roads, passing ancient khettara (underground irrigation canals) and panoramic viewpoints. By late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga, where the vast golden dunes of Erg Chebbi rise dramatically from the horizon.
• Mount your camel and trek deep into the dunes as the sun sets in a blaze of colors. Reach your traditional desert camp, enjoy dinner, live Berber music, and spend the night beneath a sky filled with stars—an authentic Sahara experience.
Day 3: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Ifrane – Fes
• Wake early to witness a magical Sahara sunrise, followed by breakfast at the camp. Begin the journey north toward Fes, passing through the lush oasis of the Ziz Valley, one of Morocco’s most beautiful palm corridors.
• Stop in Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco”, known for its alpine-style architecture, clean streets, and cedar forests. Continue onward to Fes, arriving by evening.
• Your journey concludes in one of Morocco’s most historic imperial cities, where ancient medinas, artisan souks, and centuries-old traditions await exploration.
