Tour Synopsis

The cruise then winds through estuaries rich in wildlife, including the distinctive proboscis monkey often seen along the mangrove fringes. Enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Santubong and a chance to see the elusive Irrawaddy Dolphin! At evening, experience picturesque sunset near Salak Village. As night falls, your guide will lead you on a magical search for fireflies that illuminate the mangrove branches like strings of natural fairy lights. Occasionally, crocodile eyes may shimmer along the riverbanks in the beam of your flashlight. After this enchanting experience, the boat returns to the jetty, concluding an unforgettable evening immersed in Sarawak’s natural wonders.

Tour Itinerary

You will be picked around 4.00pm from your hotel for a 40-50 minutes short drive to a mangrove village. Upon arrival, you will enjoy an amazing view. Then embark on a charming cruise and head towards the mangrove forest. Enjoy the ride and explore the nature. You might be able to see mudskipper, birds, saltwater crocodile, macaque etc. Then sail towards the South China Sea while keeping an eye out for the elusive Irrawaddy Dolphin also known as the snubfin dolphin.

Continuing our journey, we navigate through mangrove waterways and estuaries, observing the diverse wildlife that inhabits this lush ecosystem, including the iconic proboscis monkey, which is often found in mangrove fringes. Not to forget, you will be able to see the magnificent mount Santubong view and scenic sunset from the cruise. You will enjoy sunset near to Salak Village. As dusk falls, you’ll be guided to search for mesmerizing fireflies. Keep your eyes peeled as the crocodiles occasionally grace the muddy river banks, their eyes shining in the light of our flashlights. Meanwhile, clusters of fireflies adorn certain areas of the river, illuminating the mangrove branches with their dazzling light. After this enchanting exploration, we will return to the jetty and begin our journey back, ending an evening filled with unforgettable encounters with the captivating wildlife and natural wonders of Sarawak.
