Begin your journey with a morning pickup from Kuching and travel to Gunung Gading National Park in Lundu. Visit the park’s Interpretation Centre to learn about the remarkable Rafflesia flower before taking a short trek to see it in bloom, if available. If not, enjoy a refreshing rainforest walk to Waterfall No. 1 and explore the scenic Rafflesia Trail, where you can observe the unique host vines and budding flowers along the boardwalk. After the visit, return to Lundu for lunch before heading back to Kuching in the afternoon.

At 8:00 am, guests will be picked up from their hotel in Kuching for a scenic drive to the small town of Lundu, arriving at the Gunung Gading National Park headquarters around 10:00 am. The tour begins with a visit to the park’s Interpretation Centre, where guests will learn about the ecology and life cycle of the Rafflesia, the world’s largest flower.

If a Rafflesia is in bloom, guests will take a 10–30 minute walk along one of the park’s pathways to see this magnificent flower up close. Along the way, the guide will point out the host vines and the cabbage-like Rafflesia buds scattered across the forest floor.

If no flower is blooming, guests can take a 30-minute walk to Waterfall No. 1, starting from the Interpretation Centre. Located 600 meters from the park headquarters and accessible via the main trekking trail to Gunung Gading’s summit, Waterfall No. 1 features a small cascade and several natural rock pools perfect for a refreshing dip in the cool rainforest waters.

After enjoying the waterfall, guests will return along the main trail for about 10 minutes to reach the Rafflesia Trail plankwalk. This route leads through a rocky rainforest landscape rich with Rafflesia buds and the Tetrastigma host vines. Guests will have the opportunity to observe these unique plants up close along the boardwalk.

The tour then returns to the park headquarters before departing Gunung Gading around 1:30 pm. Guests may enjoy lunch at a local coffee shop in Lundu before continuing the journey back to Kuching, with an estimated arrival time of 4:00 pm.
